Welcome to WillardFest, our second annual block party for the Willard Square Neighborhood, reaching back to the old tradition of summer gatherings in the square. Come meet your friends and neighbors, hear live music, share stories, create block-wide chalk art, and take part in other activities listed on the events page. The square is ours for the afternoon, free of traffic! Here are a few tips and reminders to keep safe and comfortable:

There will be both savory and sweet foods from select neighborhood businesses at WillardFest this year, along with tables and chairs. You are also welcome to bring a picnic and lawn chair, but please no alcohol.

Everyone knows that parking can be an issue. In efforts to not congest the area, walking or biking is always the best option. If you must drive, then park at the beach parking lot or at a close by friend’s house. Volunteers in WillardFest Tshirts can help those folks who need handicap access. NO PARKING AT THE FIRE STATION PLEASE.

There will be a community resource table for folks who have businesses or events you would like to post.

Those of you who would like to volunteer for a shift at the Fest, come to the volunteer table starting at 2pm and running throughout the event.

Finally, this party could not be possible without the skilled and swift help of all volunteers and sponsors. The WF Committee especially thanks our spouses and children for the many hours we have spent putting this event together.

We hope you enjoy and look forward to seeing you in the square!
